The Ferret Haven specializes in the long-term care of ferrets who are often overlooked by potential adopters, those who are older or have medical conditions.

Established in 1999 in the NW Chicago Suburbs and later relocating to Louisville KY, as of October 2006, 634 ferrets have come through our doors.

We currently average approx. 50 residents at any given time. Please consider adopting one of our special ferrets or sponsoring a permanent resident.

The Ferret Haven is always looking for volunteers to come in during the week. As a volunteer you would be helping to clean cages, check food and water, possibly do a little weasel wash, and play with the ferrets.

We are also in need of monetary donations made to our vet. We have many ferrets who are on daily or monthly medication. We also like to keep a fund going for any ferrets who may come into shelter needing medical care.
